Bin Shuttle Storage System

Bin Shuttle Storage System is designed by Hefei Hagong Robot for light materials such as bins and cartons. Multi-level shuttle cars run at high speed on racking rails and access bins quickly and accurately. It is a core part of a goods-to-person picking system. The system includes bin shuttle cars, high-speed lifts, high-density racking, conveyor lines, goods-to-person stations, and WMS and WCS systems. Single car load is 30kg to 50kg. System height can reach up to 10 meters. Space use is more than 70% higher than traditional shelving. The system suits normal temperature and constant temperature and humidity warehouses. A smart scheduling system can manage more than one hundred shuttle cars working together, and it supports single-deep and double-deep configuration and integration with various picking stations.

For throughput, the system uses a decoupled design of shuttle cars and lifts. Multiple shuttle cars and lifts can work in parallel. Combined inbound and outbound capacity can reach more than 1000 bins per hour, which helps handle order peaks. The architecture is modular. Shuttle cars, lifts, stations, and racking can each be expanded independently. When business grows, only the needed modules are added, without rebuilding the whole system. WCS handles smart path planning and task scheduling for all equipment, avoids congestion, and keeps operation stable. With the goods-to-person model, picking staff walk much less, and both picking efficiency and accuracy improve, which lowers labor and error cost.
